The carriage was just fabulous giving a great fun vibe to our weekend. It was exceptionally clean and very well equipped. Peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.
Such a unique property and so beautifully maintained, finished and furnished. Added extras made the stay so special like tea in kitchen, beautiful terrace area and the most comfortable beds!
The Station was not just a stay overnight, it was an experience! The Queen Mary train carriage has been elegantly, lovingly and most comfortably restored while remaining true to its 100 year old history thanks to the commitment and dedication of property owners Ashley and Tim.
From the moment I entered the property’s driveway and made my way to the train that was to be home for the next few days (I stayed in ‘The George’), I knew I was in for an unforgettable stay.
The grounds are beautiful and the perfect place to destress and unwind. Be sure to keep an eye out for the kangaroos amidst the trees; they proved to be a regular visitor during our stay.
It’s in an awesome location, super central to many of the region’s wineries. We found getting out and about for some wine tasting a cinch! Right next door to the property is the electric bike hire place – and this proved to be an extremely fun way to explore the area!
The Station is a beautiful, boutique escape in the heart of the Hunter Valley countryside. The attention to detail in renovating, designing and styling the carriages is incredible, and you can really feel the love that the amazing owners (Tim & Ash) have for the property.
